First off Happy New Year! I hope all you wish for comes true. So far mine is going great! There is a free local magazine I pick up every week called The Folio Weekly, it's a wild and crazy update on things going on around town and where to be. Last month they issued a "100 things to do in Northeast Florida before you die".
Being that I had only done about 8 things from the insert I decided to take it upon myself to make this my living bucket list to get to know my city a little better.
This weekend I loaded up my son and best guy friend Zachary and headed down to Riverside avenue to attend number 48 on the list. Spend an afternoon supporting local food vendors, artist, and musicians at the free, one-of a kind River Arts Market. I can't believe I have never attended this one... but I am blind no more. It is an outdoor event that occurs every Saturday from 10am-1pm in the winter months and 10am-4pm during the rest of the year. Vendors from all over come together selling fresh grown veggies, handmade items, amongst many other things. Saturday the vendors were a little scarce but the weather was fantastic and it was quite enjoyable.
I picked up a few farm fresh fruits and veggies (all for $6) and some one of a kind art. I can't wait for the warmer months I will be sure to visit again. Another number checked of my list of many things to do! To see what else I have been up to, find me on instagram
