Fashion Blogger... or Whatever

Oh, Jenna

Oh, Jenna

I remember there use to be this reality show on MTV called Chelsea Settles. It was about a beautiful heavyset girl who had big dreams of getting into the fashion industry. She moved from her hometown Uniontown Pennsylvannia to the city of LA. Long story short she had this awesome room mate Jenna who was already into modeling. Needless to say the show didn't stick around to see a second seasom but Jenna's style has certainly stuck with me. She definitely had an urban outfitters/vintage/ boho swag about herself. I will never forget this one look she wore.. a pleated maxi skirt, chelsea boots, over sized had and boyfriend tee. So Today's Fashion Friday is inspired by it..
Give it a try.. pair a plain boyfriend tee with an uber girly maxi skirt, floppy hair adorning your messy braided hair. This is the perfect time to incorporate a chic cross body and a pop of purple or any dark color on your lips.

I have GOT to get my hands on a pair of Chelsea boots. They are like.. the flats of booties.. if that makes sense. They can be worn with dresses, skinny jeans, and hhmm hmmm maxi skirts. What is a must have boot for you right now?

Making my dreams come true,
Ash

  1. Great style board! I haven't landed a pair of Chelsea boots myself yet, mostly because I'm wasn't sure they could go with the rest of my wardrobe, but this post has me thinking differently!

    2. I remember when MTV was more about music (sure sign that I will be leaving my twenties some time soon:) ) , but since they decided to do shows they might as well chose better ones, as far as I see it's only trash reality shows...it would be really inspirational to see a show like that one, to see what it is like to start working in a fashion industry. I think many of us would be fascinated by that.

  3. Hay I have a top and skirt exactly like this! Getting some serious inspiration right now except no wide brimmed hat but I guess a fedora will do

    Thanks girl!
